Examples include a delivery truck of the future, developed with FedEx, as well as a catalog paper project with Norm Thomson Outfitters. Amnesty International USA Business, Environment and Human Rights (BEHR) Program) http://www.amnestyusa.org/business The Program "advocates with companies to respect human rights in their own operations and promote human rights in the countries where they operate, and defends the rights of environmental activists and communities at risk from human rights abuses connected to environmental degradation, raising public awareness to hold corporations and governments accountable. Amnesty International USA engages in dialogue with companies on their human rights policies as well as conducting shareholder activism and public campaigning through our extensive national membership. "The general public, policymakers, and media traditionally rely on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as their primary scorecard of the nation's well-being. While the GDP has many useful functions, Redefining progress has argued since 1994 that it is a poor tool for evaluating the United States' economic health."
